- meeting our clients needs or employers needs.
- providing advice

- providing expertise in your field of knowledge
- being a good communicator and and listener
- being highly motivated

Everyone has their own ideas of what it means to be professional. However there are certain characteristics that are required, for example critical thinking and ethics.
Critical thinking in our lecture was summed up as follows: Critical thinking involves thinking about what I am thinking and how I think it and why I think rather than just thinking it.
Ethics:There are many different ways of categorising ethics, two main types are personal and corporate.
Personal ethics:
- religion
- culture
- family values
- morals
- affiliations
- traditions
Corporate:
- Company’s mission statement
- Goals and objectives
- key messages
- Strategies
- Loyalty
There are many ways we can implement ethics within our professional life. So think outside the square!!!
