Grants

The ALTC Grant Scheme provides funding for three grant programs:

  1. Leadership for Excellence in Learning and Teaching Program.

  2. Priority Projects Program.

  3. Competitive Grants Program.

Each Grant has a different set of program priorities, along with varying project durations and funding ranges. It is important to choose the Program which best suits your project. A short summary of each program is outlined under the subheadings. For an overview go to http://www.altc.edu.au/grants-and-project

The Teaching and Learning centre provides support throughout the grant writing process. The ALTC Grants Coordinator, Linda Butcher, will notify all staff of upcoming grants though the Murdoch staff announcements, and the NEST mailing list. You will be asked to contact us if you are interested in submitting an expression of interest. Once we have received your email we will send you an internal expression of interest form for you to complete and return. Information about the Competitive Grant Program will be included to assist you.

The NEST team supports the application process at all stages. Our aim is to ensure your application has the maximum chance of success. All forms and supporting information will be supplied, along with due dates for each step. Sally Knowles, ALTC Projects Officer, provides a series of grant writing workshops to assist you with the writing process. You will also be assigned an experienced reviewer to provide feedback on your draft and support your application preparation. The Grants Coordinator will arrange for institutional sign off, and submission to the ALTC, of your finished application.
