ALTC Citations
Australian Learning and Teaching Council (ALTC) Citations recognise and reward the diverse contributions that individuals and teams make to the quality of student learning. Citations are awarded to academic, general and sessional staff and institutional associates. Nominees must have made significant contributions to student learning in a specific area of responsibility over a sustained period. ALTC selects up to 210 recipients of Citations for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning. Recipients are awarded $10,000.
To be part of the selection process for an ALTC Citation you are required to first apply for an internal Vice-Chancellor’s Citation for Excellence in Enhancing Learning. This annual award is to recognises Murdoch staff, both general and academic, who have made outstanding contributions to student learning at Murdoch. Nominations may be for individuals or teams. Citations and $1,000 will be given to up to 10 staff members. These staff will also be put forward as Murdoch’s nominations to the ALTC national Citations for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning.
There are no specified categories for ALTC Citations. Each citation is unique and reflects the diversity of ways in which university staff and associates contribute to excellent learning and teaching in higher education.
