We have so many types of ways to view a program or tv show these days. Its not only by using television, but we can actually use computers to do that as well. In this modern society, most people prefer to use computer as their medium to watch any tv shows just by downloading it. But is it true that television is not important? No, television is still very important even though we have many high tech gadgets for us to use to watch any programs that we like. Without television, we could not get any programs that we want because they could not copy or burn the show. Apart from that, most people uses the television to watch news too. And most families do eat while watching the television. Most families prefer to eat dinner while watching the news, that has been a tradition for alot of families. Besides that, television is also an important tool for every government to send their messages or spread their campaign. No matter how high tech other gadgets can be, nothing can replace the television. Because not everyone in the world owns a computer or any other high tech gadgets. Therefore a television remains the same status as before, it is important to the society.

Each year, a new technology will be created to ease the humans way of living. But can we say that the world has certainly became a better place because of technology? Well I would say that it certainly made it a better place. But there are pros and cons of it too. Technology helped us all by achieving many things. For example, during those days, if we want to sent a message or invitation, we had to use postmen or even delivery boy. But nowadays, with the advance technology for us, we could just send it by email. It is simple, faster, and easier way to send an invitation by using that method. Another example of good technology is handphones. Without handphones, it is harder for us to communicate with anyone. We have to find a public phone if we do not have a handphone. You see, technology does has its benefits. Besides that, with the use of technology, we can keep in touch with our friends or families around the world. Simply by using social networking utilities such as MSN, Yahoo Messenger, Facebook, Friendster and many more. Life is so much easier with the help of technology. I do keep in touch with my friends and families away from Malaysia. With the help of the social network, I dont need to use a telegram or calling them. Just by messaging them by using any of the social networking utilities.

There are so many cool gadgets available in the market these days. Nowadays, gadgets are famous because of trends. You can see alot of people using all sorts of new cool gadgets. But did they get it because of the technology or because of trend? Most people tend to go after a brand or gadgets in this case, because a friend has it or a celebrity has it. Some people get it because it goes well with their clothing or fashion. For example, I bought SLR camera because my friend has it. But as I learned on how to use it properly, i treasure it more and more. Another reason why I got the SLR camera is because it looks stylish and apart from that, it captures clear images. Most of us are actually influenced by each other without realizing it. Im pretty sure that some of us do follow what our friend has. Ok, enough of that, lets talk about how trendy gadgets can really be. An example of a cool and trendy gadgets available now is Blackberry. Everyone would love to get their hands on the new Blackberry phones. Even though it is big and bulky, but because it is the trend these days, most people would not mind getting it and spend thousands just to get it. No matter what people say, I still think that the Blackberry phones are cool.

We all know that technology do influence us in certain ways. For example, Facebook and all. Technology does has its benefits towards us and helped us in many ways. Another good example is Barrack Obama, he used Facebook to interact with the public. He knows that most of the people these days do have a Facebook account. By doing so, he managed to attract many people to vote for his campaign and eventually he became the President of United States. Technology do influence people to change their style or living. Some people uses technology to help them with work. For example, now I am using the computer and internet to do this blog post. Without all these, finishing this work would be hard. Most of the governments throughout the whole world uses technology. Each government uses technology to help them with votings, promoting their campaigns and all. Technology has helped to ease us with what they could offer in return. Another good example is SMS. Without that technology, we could not send messages to our friends and families. It has certainly made life easier for us. There are however, some of the technologies could actually harm us, or our goods. What I meant is that if we use the internet frequently,we have to be very careful with virus that is spreading around the internet world. But other than that, technology is awesome. Me love technology.

Telephone has evolved alot since the early days of it introduction to the world. Imagine a world without any telephone, that would be a disaster to me, because I need telephone to survive! Ok lets move on. Communication is important for everyone, without communication, we would not know many things. Communication is part of everyone’s life. Therefore it is really important to have a telephone, well thank god for creating Alexander Graham Bell. Without a telephone, we would probably communicate with each other by letters or worst, by writting on the wall. Telephone was invented in 1876. From the bulky versions of telephone all the way to a cordless telephone. Telephone has evolved alot thanks to the ever growing technology, and since then, telephone became one of the most important technology. Apart from that, a handphone is also part of telephone. Although a handphone was actually made for war. But since then the technology of phones has evolved and changed alot of its flaws. During the early days of telephone, it was harder to dial or call a person because of its classic design. Now, the keypads are simple to press. Apart from that, telephones these days could actually SMS or even have a voice mail (Yes telephones can do that too). It is similar to a handphone except that it is only a telephone. Since technology is growing, the future looks interesting especially for telephone technology.

As I have mentioned in my earlier post, there are many types of video game genres in the market. There is even a Barbie Doll (Oh My God) game for girls to play with. Well we cant blame the makers because they just want profit from it. Since this is a new decade and modern era, children prefer to stay home and play games or go online instead of going out and do some healthy activity. The reason why I said that is because I am experiencing it right now. My cousin prefers to stay home to play with his games rather then going out to play with his friends. Anyway, there are so many genres to choose from. My personal favourite is the Final Fantasy 7, although it is an old game but it is still in my number 1 list.The video game industry are so creative that they actually made the blood in the game look so real. My mother argued with me because of this, she was saying that video game these days are all so violent. There are a few games that has violent scenes in it such as Resident Evil, Grand Theft Auto, Mortal Kombat and many more. The creativity of the video game makers is also based on how much a game is wanted. If a game is not so famous, the graphics are probably bad or the story line for the game would not be that good. But to just read and tell is not good enough, people should actually try it out before criticizing it. I for one do enjoy playing games, and it is also a good way to relax the mind after a long day.

Im pretty sure that all of us played video games at least once. Well as for me, I truly enjoy playing games especially those with awesome graphics. There are many types of game genre available such as RPG, Puzzle Game, Racing, Adventure, and many more. It depends on the person on which best suits him or her. As for me, I would personally go for RPG, and also football games. These days, there are so many console for you to choose. Now they have Playstation 3 in the market. Playstation 3 offers high definition graphics and at times it looks real. I would love to own one however, it is just too pricey for me. Gaming technology has improved greatly for the last decade. Now, the graphics and movements of the game are so realistic. Not only that, a Nintendo Wii gives you the opportunity to actually move around while playing games, that is really cool to be honest. You can actually have fun and exercise at the same time. Some of my friends prefer to get a Nintendo Wii because of the technology. But as for me, I simply prefer Playstation 3 for the graphics.

Well its not exactly pirates like the ones from pirates of the caribbean, but it is still a pirate, online pirate. I am pretty sure that most of us here prefer to download things for free, well that is human nature after all. There are many software such as Bitcomet, Limewire, and many more that offers the internet users to download movies or mp3s for free. It is lawfully wrong, but these days, we would love to get things for free am I right? Although there are laws about copyright and more, but piracy keeps growing more each day. It is hard to resist free goods. Because of the rise of modern technology, some artists lost alot of sales because most people prefer to download the songs instead of paying for the whole album. There are software such as iTunes that gives us the opportunity to download music, but the catch is you have to pay for the song. As I have mentioned above, most people prefer to download it for free instead of paying for a song. It is hard to remove piracy online because of the support they get from the public such as myself.

Social network sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Friendster, Myspace and others are the new hype in this modern era. Social network is used by variety of people, not only youngsters or teenagers are allowed to use. People such as our fathers and mothers do use it too, well my dad has facebook and it freaks me out. Its not a bad thing that my father has one, but the reason why I am freaked out is because he can actually view any of my activities just by looking at the pictures posted. Social networking is a new way to communicate with friends or relatives just by adding them to be your friend. Apart from that, social network is also a great tool that could help us. For example, I saw my friend’s page, and she was absent from her class. One of her classmate posted notes for her just by tagging her on that picture. To me that is a cool way to get your notes instead of having to copy or sending email. The reason why I said that is because you can actually tag as many people as you like. Social network works as a reminder too, example, if there is a meeting held at A, you could send notes or as I have mentioned earlier, tag your friends for the meeting. Creating a group for specific event could also be one of the ways. As for me, I play football. My captain created a group for all the group members to join. So that it would be easier to remind everyone when is the football game. The only scary thing about social networking is that it is not entirely safe from hackers. Alot of my friends account was hacked and the hackers did many silly things such as spamming people’s page and many more. Well nothing is safe in this world.

I am pretty sure that most of us do know that we can purchase goods by using the internet eh? Or maybe some of us did it before. Well there are such thing such as online shopping. We are living in a modern era or society, most people prefer to go online, playing games, doing work, or other things that you can do with the computer. I remembered when I was still a little boy, my father brought back a computer for us. But I rather play outside with my friends than staying home and on the computer. Times have changed because kids these days prefer to stay home and play games online or chat online. But now, they can even shop online together. Well online shopping is not a bad thing, but I was just pointing out the fact that time has changed and you can even buy your goods online. There are alot of websites that you can shop, websites such as Ebay, Amazon, and many more. These websites allows you to actually purchase the things that you see or like and pay it through credit cards. There are varieties of goods in these websites such as books, electronic goods, clothing and many more. Life do seem alot easier by doing that right? But there are  risks that you have to bear in mind. There are many hackers in this world. They can easily hack your credit card and god knows what they will do with it. Well, lets just put the risks aside shall we.
